“There has been much written and spoken about the issue of climate change over the past few years. These discourses build the case that there is a significant change in the global climate and that this change is the result of a continuing accumulation of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. This chapter will not address the evidence supporting the premise that there has been a gradual rise in global temperatures and that this increase is causing changes in our climate. Suffice to say that the International Panel for Climate Change (IPCC, 2007), produced their last report in 2007, which represented the consensus arising from their extensive consultations.
