The Writing Prize will be awarded for the best writing on the question:

Why is ‘A Voice to Parliament’ important and how will it be of benefit to Australia?

A Voice to Parliament
The First Nations ‘Voice to Parliament’ protected by the Australian Constitution is a key element of the Uluru Statement from the Heart. It will enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to provide advice to the Australian Parliament on policies and projects that impact their lives. The Writing Prize is for Australians forty years and under. The winner will receive $10,000 and their writing will be featured on www.writing.org.au

We welcome original writing between 4,000 and 5,000 words on the above question. Extensive referencing is not required. Where references are included we prefer Oxford (Endnotes).

Entries are required in a word document by 1 May 2023 to: helen@futureleaders.com.au. Please include your name, age and contact details. Entry in The Writing Prize is free.
